The national awards ceremony rewards exceptional individuals, teams and practices with an active interest in staying at the top of the profession and judges included some of the most respected dentists within the UK.  It sees practices, dentists and dental teams competing against the best and most innovative in the dental profession.

Dental Precision was named runner-up in the ‘Best Dental Laboratory – South’ category out of entries from across the South of England. The laboratory employs a team of 18, specialising in providing highly aesthetic & functional prosthesis to leading dentists across the UK and Ireland – with a particular focus on implant related solutions.

Dental Precision was created in 1995 by Martin Docking who has recently completed a 3 year diploma in Clinical Dental Technology with the Royal College of Surgeons qualifying him to consult with and treat denture patients.

Speaking of Dental Precision’s success, Martin said:

“We have an incredible team here, the majority of whom we have trained ourselves.  From the master technicians to trainees, admin staff and everyone in-between, all are committed to exceeding customer expectations and delivering life changing results for patients.”

“It was the first time we have entered for any award and it has been fantastic to be recognised by the private dental industry in this way.”

“This is one of the most prestigious awards in dentistry and for a Cornish team to have such success makes us really proud, we need to shout it from the roof tops!”

Outstanding Individual of the year

Business Development & Operations Manager, Samantha Webber won the title of ‘Outstanding Individual of the year’. Sam said of her win:

“I was shocked and delighted in equal measure to have been selected for such an incredible accolade! Having seen the list of my fellow shortlisted nominees, it didn’t even register that I could win.”

Sam, who is also currently studying for a Master’s degree in management alongside her full time role at Dental Precision, continues:

“I joined Dental Precision in August 2010 after a career in Project Management within the Financial Services Industry. My learning curve in dentistry has been so steep it was almost vertical! However, business is business and with the support of the team and directors I have implemented a number of strategic changes including launching ‘Changing Faces Denture Clinic Cornwall’, linking with education providers to enhance awareness of dental technology as a career route and working with the fantastic team at Aawen designs to rebrand the business & create a new website www.dentalprecision.co.uk.”

“To have been recognised with this incredible award, in addition to our achievement in the ‘Best Dental Laboratory’ – South category is a real honour for me and the entire team at Dental Precision.”
