Overview
Zirconia is very strong, tooth coloured and light weight with fantastic biocompatability. The ceramic can be sintered directly to the structure or pressed on with some ceramic systems and in this way we have achieved some beautiful results.
Another restoration that we are starting to introduce is all Zirconia restorations – they lack the graduation and colouring of hand crafted porcelain and cannot match the luminousity and natural looking aesthetics. However, they are cost effective and awfully strong and so can be very successful when used posteriorly…just have a few diamonds at the ready if you ever need to remove one.
